Hi
Need help with a backfire problem. I was on a short trip with my coach
when it started to backfire threw the crab.It seemed to be worse when
under power like going up a hill. I replaced plugs and wires checked
timing and had to advance timing about 10 deg.and it would run a low
speed then die. Checked vac and it seemed to be normal.but it still dies
under a little power.
I am about to give up and and blame the timing chain. which i really
hope it is not the prob.
I hope someone on the net that has had this prob..and found a
CURE.:-( :-D
P.S., the engine just turned over 100K. Thank Steve Helena Mt

Check your fuel filter and also spray carb cleaner around the base of carb .
Also torque the 4 carb bolts.
