G'day,

Here's a list of ASCII Characters for all the "characters" who frequent this list! ;-)

I deleted a bunch that did not relate to us.

Hold down the Alt Key and at the same time press the numbers on the numeric keypad. When you release the Alt key the character will replace the cursor in your document.

ASCII Characters

Alt + 0128 = €
Alt + 0134 = †
Alt + 0135 = ‡
Alt + 0137 = ‰
Alt + 0149 = •
Alt + 0153 = ™
Alt + 0162 = ¢
Alt + 0163 = £
Alt + 0164 = ¤
Alt + 0165 = ¥
Alt + 0167 = §
Alt + 0168 = ¨
Alt + 0169 = ©
Alt + 0170 = ª
Alt + 0171 = «
Alt + 0174 = ®
Alt + 0175 = ¯
Alt + 0176 = °
Alt + 0177 = ±
Alt + 0178 = ²
Alt + 0179 = ³
Alt + 0181 = µ
Alt + 0182 = ¶
Alt + 0183 = ·
Alt + 0184 = ¸
Alt + 0185 = ¹
Alt + 0187 = »
Alt + 0188 = ¼
Alt + 0189 = ½
Alt + 0190 = ¾
Alt + 0191 = ¿
Alt + 0215 = ×
Alt + 0216 = Ø
Alt + 0247 = ÷
Alt + 0248 = ø

Can't you just see Rob hunched over the keyboard for hours on end, day after
day, month after month figuring this all out! <VBG>

So, Rob, what are you smoking these days? Whatever it is must have some
bad stuff in it. But, I guess this beats picking the lint out of your
belly button.

Oh goodie, we use these all the time. Rolling Eyes
There is a way similar to this, that you can make fractions.
I used it about as much as I'll use this.
But seeing as how Rob is on the trail, perhaps he can find how to do those fractions.

Charmap in windows (search for it) shows the character map. There must certainly be an analog for macs.

Jeez I slave over a hot computer and all I get is a ration of s#!t. :-0

All I did was do a Google search for "ASCII Characters", copy the chart and
delete the ones I didn't think were useful and paste it into a message.

Took maybe 10 minutes.

For Mac;
To use the Character Viewer:
Open a document, and place the insertion point where you want the special character or symbol to appear.
Choose Edit > Special Characters to open the Character Viewer, or choose Show Character Viewer from the Input menu in the menu bar (looks like a flag or character).
Choose the type of characters you want to see from the View pop-up menu.
If you don’t see the View pop-up menu, click the button in the upper-right corner of the Character Viewer to show the top portion of the window.
Click By Category, and then select a category on the left.
Double-click the symbol you want to use on the right.

A Mac user can see more characters than you can shake a stick at.
