G'day,

I was down at the workshop over the weekend and took some pictures of the
slots in the frame that are used to set the ride height.

Here's a link:

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=40040

Please review the pictures and text to make sure what I've noted is correct
and easy to understand.

Thanks,
Rob M.

Thanks for posting these. It always is nice to be sure you're looking at the correct area on the frame to get the proper measurement of ride height.

I do not have a problem with the picture and I did not check your math for the correct length, but in your narrative you state 4x4's. That is a little big for a measurement stick. 1x2's or 2x2's will easily work. I made my rears out of 2x4's only so they would be visually different than the pair I made for the front which are a different length of 2x2's.

Ken,

Good point!

There was a reason I said to make them out of 4 x 4's, however, for the life
of me I can't remember what it was. Damn CRS! Maybe someone will tell me
what it was.

I reckon if you put a big "F" on the fronts and "R" on the rears that'll
take care of getting them under the right slots.

So`s you can sit the frame on them with the air dumped to set front ride height.

Ken,

Guess so, however, the field strength of TWO cases of CRS in close proximity
made it virtually impossible to remember.

If you make them out of 4x4's you could always use them for firewood when you are finished measuring the coach. 1x2's would not burn too long.

Or you can cut them diagonally and use them for wheel chocks when you arn't measuring rear ride height.

If you made them out of 6x6s or 8x8s. You would have bigger chalks or more fire wood when you were done.

I'll stick with the 2x2's myself.
