If I hook my battery maintainter to the battery isolater,
will this maintain both battery systems?

Probably not, the voltage of a maintainer is quite low, and the voltage drop of the isolator would not let it "maintain" the batteries. However, two of them (the HF ones are very cheap) would do the job, attached to the two outside posts of the isolator, but not the center, which goes to the alternator.

because of the voltage drop of the isolator.
this drop does not happen with the alternator because the alternator has a
voltage sense line and corrects for the voltage drop.
a better way to connect this , maintainer, would be to install a combiner,

Yes, that would be better if I needed significant re-charging. But, all I'm using this for is minimal charge maintenance, and the connection through the isolator appears to be doing that sufficiently so far...
If I needed a deeper & faster charge, I would just clip on a regular battery charger directly to the desired bank, but so far I haven't needed to do that.

I think you are missing Gene's point.
Normally a battery maintainer runs around 13.2 or 13.4 volts to maintain a battery. There is a .5 to .7 volt drop through the isolator. This mean the battery is only seeing 12.5 to 12.9 volts from the maintainer. That is not enough to keep the battery fully charged.
If you connect the maintainer to one of the other terminals of the isolator you will be bypassing the isolator and the associated drop.
Now if that item is really a battery charger then it's output is probably 13.8 to 14.0 volts. Then the .7 volt drop through the isolator is a good thing.
I would throw a volt meter on the battery side and see what voltage you are really getting to the battery.

Assuming that the combiner and isolator are operating
correctly (even if not) wouldn't it be a good idea to
hook up an indivicual "minder" or "tender" directly to
each of the battery "banks?" Since those operate on
"shore" power and could function when the coach was
idle, you should obtain well maintained battery banks.

not necessary, the combiner will connect all the banks together
