Yep, GMCs do not look any better than your's Ray. That is one nice paint job. Hope you show up at Goshen with it.
I am stopping by Larry's to see if he can re clear coat my roof. I had mine painted in a body shop. They did a good job but the clear is peeling from the Az. sun.

Larry, I will be stopping by Larry's in a couple of weeks to see what he says. I take good care of our roof but there just was not enough clear on it to stand up under the Az. sun. He did a great job on our vdub.

Oh, yeah. I like that a lot. You didn't tell me you hauled cayaks. You
need to get those painted, too. LOL.

I have the illustrations of the coach and the trailer included in my
presentation on paint scheme design which I'll give at Goshen.

Dan can plug GMCMI all he wants but if you can't get there for the week do
come to GMCES' rally in Milan, MI the weekend after the Goshen convention.
Folks need to see and feel the beautiful jobs on both the trailer and GMC.

Tell me, is the coach a chick magnet or does it tend to draw guys with
their tongues hanging out?

Definitely NOT a chick magnet Byron, but we got a lot of positive comments on
the paint job, but most of the comments were on the GMC itself, they just
attract attention.

I would say NO to painting the Kayaks......we've painted enough for now ! LOL

I'm planning on going to Goshen, not sure if Lisa will be along or not.

You might ask your painter if he is willing to use some of the new generation Imron single stage on your roof. It can be applied over most cured finishes (except lacquer). When I was prepping my 77 royale for paint I wanted to chemically strip areas where an old re paint was failing badly. I used aircraft stripper which pulled the repaint almost immediately but when it hit the original Imron it only made it shiny :). A failing clear coat cannot be re-applied without re doing the base coat as well which is a minimum of two step operation. When you factor in priming and sealing of the delam areas, you will have a four step coating. I put single stage silver metallc Imron on the roof of mine with the intent of NEVER having to do it again. Prepping and painting the roof without a good scaffold system is a major P.I.T.A.! Since I wanted to limit the number of times I had to hang over the roof and move ladders I selected Imron single stage paint I used one full gallon of Imron not
counting catalyst for the roof over PPG DP epoxy sealer to lock down the repair areas. I have used few if any products that adhere as tenaciously as Imron.

Beautiful rig, Ray. You are right, GMCs do attract attention no matter

Very nice touch.

I was going to chide you to put some Alcoa's on the trailer, but on second look the wheels, even though they are painted, are similar enough to the coach that they look really good. I like the two different eagles. The stylized one on the coach has a modern flair and the traditional one on the trailer looks very detailed.

The flow of the white stripe from the coach to the trailer ties it all together perfectly. I wonder how many of us will snag one of these pictures to include in our little brochures...

Can't design that on an Etch-A-Sketch.
Can't paint that with with a rattle-can.

You both must beam with pride driving down the road. I'll bet this makes Larry and Byron feel pretty good too!

Like Dan says - life is good in a GMC. (and I'd wager it's a little better in your GMC!)

Another $40.00 for you to spend <VBG>
We have a similar arrangement, but not painted ...get 2 cockpit covers for
the kayaks.
It will keep debris from the highway and leaves in your yard, out of the
boats ....
