I am looking at some New 2010 Honda Tan Leather seats with dual arm rests for our Coach. Are these the same seats that many here are using and are there alternatives which are more comfortable?
Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard: I am happy with mine. They were $300 delivered from Arizona. They are more comfortable on a trip than I expected. I used the Mr ERFs unistrut method and it worked out well. You might want to ask if they had any 2008(?) seats left as they had cup holders made in the base.

I bought these and installed in our Eleganza. Took the swivel plate off the
base and mounted these directly to the square base. Sits a little higher,
however I like that - better visability and less sun in the eyes. Problem
is they now do not swivel. So will look at altering this - possibly. I saw
not long ago on the net someone who had Ford Seats - that folder right over
and had cup holders in the Back - -

The people we bought the Honda seats from were right on the ball - sending
them promptly to us above the 49th.

I have 4 Honda seats in my coach - the ones up front and the dinette seats. When we left on an 8-week trip last year my back was killing me but after a week of sitting in the Honda seat for 5 or 6 hours per day I felt great. They are very comfortable. Here are links to a couple of photos: http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=32618&title=a-variation-on-the-ins&cat=5501 is how I installed mine in the front - I wanted the seats low. And http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=35163&title=almost-done&cat=5500 shows my dinette seats on swivel/rockers - very comfortable too.

Richard,

Depends what the source of the seats is. If they are the back seat (middle
row) out of an Odyssey thems the ones! ;-)

I installed a pair in Double Trouble and we find them quite comfortable for
my fat butt, and Helen's slim butt!

The only problem I found is that the armrests are too short to support my
forearms where I would like them to be supported.

However, for $350 for the pair I can live with that!

If you want NEW Honda Odessy 2nd row seats, you better hurry up and get them while the 2010 ones are still available. It appears that the 2011 ones only have single armrests.

This may be the same guy that had them a couple of years ago. I took a
trailer out and bought 11 sets and brought them back to CA for bunch of our
local GMC guys who bought them all and I got mine paid for. I think he was
asking $125 a set then. He has some kind of a deal with a relative that is

Mostly you are looking for seats with TWO built-in arm rests. The front seats normally only have the inboard arm rests and the middle row ones some times only have the outboard.

If you find good looking, comfortable seats with two arm rests... at a good price. They should be able to be "made to fit."

Handi-cap van conversion take-out seats are normally BRAND NEW. The seats from other vans should work but Odyssey vans just seem to popular for the conversions.

If looking at local used seats, I'd look at the middle row seats of the '02. Many (most) of the earlier vans had bench seats behind the driver's.
