Before I got hurt I rode motorcycles pretty much everywhere. When I owned my old GoldWing, people had a nasty habit of tailgating me ( the old "My car's bigger than yours" problem). After I built the Sportster, all I had to do is pull in the clutch & rev up a few times & most of the time they'd back off. The ones I had the most trouble with were the 80-somethings that were likely stone deaf or had watched WAY too many TV shows depicting bikers as criminals. Just recently here in Tyler an old man did that to a Harley on the loop. The rider did a quick lane change, braked to get behind him, and pulled him over. Turned out he should have looked closer at the Harley & seen the lights & siren...
Most of the city motor cops ride to work on their personal bikes, so you never know... Motor cops tend to have a long memory...

I miss my '81 turbodiesel Jettas. All you had to do was floor it and the tailgater disappeared in a cloud of oily soot.
