If you would like a invite to Google+ and have not been able to get
one, let me know and I will send you one. If you are not familiar with
Google+, in a nut shell it's Googles new social network, sort of a
answer to Facebook, I hate a lot about Facebook but am having a lot of
fun on Google+. It was launched in public test mode about three weeks
ago and has about 18 million users already. It's the fastest growing
social network in history and expects to be over 20 million users by

". I will be holding a GMC Hangout Thursday night at nine if anyone
wants to join in for some GMC talk. You need a invite to join, so if

I received my invitation at my aol address --- and had to log in under a gmail address.
Not sure I did it correctly but added all the GMC addresses in my address book to the GMC circle.
How do we join the hangout tonight?

I have put everyone that requested a invite in a circle, when I start
the hangout you will see it in your stream that I started a hangout,
there can be 10 people at a time in a hangout. You might want to click
the "Start a hangout" button on the lower right of your home screen to
install the needed software. You’ll get a popup that instructs you as
to getting set up, and it is very self explanatory and requires little
to no tech savviness. Anyone have a topic for tonight's hangout?
Remember it will be at 9 pm eastern time. If you are already on G+ and
want to now when I start a GMC hangout just ad me to one of your
circles. Find me by searching for Richard Sowers.

Ok, I have added the software -- so when we are on tonight it will be video? Voice activated to select whoever is speaking? Just a form of videoconferencing?

Yep, and it can be just voice if you do not have a web cam on your
computer. You can also all watch the same YouTube video, and I have
been told they are adding new features. White boarding, and sharing
google doc's is highly anticipated (at least by me).

Thanks for everyone that joined in on last nights GMC hangout, It was
a lot of fun. Almost 2 hours of GMC camaraderie. I know some people
had trouble finding the way in. If you tried to get in and did not see
a join button in your stream, let me know. I would like to see why you
did not see it. My thought is that I did not have this hangout as
public, and those that did not see it were not in my GMC circle. I
would like to test this with a couple of people. I will be away from
my computers for a lot of the day so if you send me a note I will get
back to you.
