I put a single rear Flowmaster 70 on my Royale and wasn't too happy.
It was quite a bit too loud and rappy. Amazingly rappy for a low compression 455.

I have a 69 Vette with side exhaust that uses auger mufflers from Speedway Motors in the sidepipes. These Augers flow very well, are very simple and can be stuffed into any 3" pipe ( they also make a 3.5" version). They even work pretty good too. I wondered what would happen if I added one of them to the motorhomes system.

So this weekend I opened the exhaust and put a 3" auger in the pipe that goes from the Y to the main tube running along the side.

It's MUCH better! The auger takes the rap out of the system making it much smoother. I think I can live with this.

If I were to do another system I would use the 70 in back and 2 augers in the main pipe. Just stuff them in and forget them.
