I hope the 3rd time is a charm, I have been trying to get a part number for
an Onan generator carburetor, I have looked at the places where people have
sent me and not been able to find that information or no response. There is
a good chance it might be my fault and I don't know what I am doing, if that
s the case I still need help. This is a 4 kw from my 1973 GMC, apparently
someone needed it more than I did, It is hard to find the right carb.
Without a part number. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Serge

Serge,
Carburetor
part number 146-0169
look here for parts breakdown...
http://www.bdub.net/manuals/Onan/Onan4kwBF_Ops-Parts.pdf
You probably need the assembly -- which may be more than just the carb number above -- call Sirum motorhome to ask if they have a used one.

Sir: have you called Jim Bounds at the co-op? http://www.gmccoop.com/ He had a pile of Onans for parts. 146-0188 is the 6K carb #. I can`t seem to find a # for the 4K? yet.
