while inspecting an inop cruise control unit in driveway i noticed i have some bad water hose,
so help my light bulb burn, passenger rear side seems where water used to go back towards water heater but presntly disconnected with a coupte tees there,
please confurm proper is out of back passenger side of motor to water heater, then the return from water heater goes to heater box, then out put side of heater box goes to passenger front side on engine. this is independed of the top and bottom radiator hoses. does this sound correct?
also, to bypass heater box since i dont need this time of year, and since i have not confurmed water heater even works, can i run hose from the front passenger side water inlet to rear passenger water inlet and just bypass water heater and heater box without hurting anything?

bgk,
IF you didn't have a hot water heater using the engine coolant as pre-heat, the in-dash heater (to warm your feet) would get its water from the rear passenger side of the engine (5/8" hose), through the heater core, then back to the front of the engine (3/4" hose).
In coaches that have the hot water (for dishes) pre-heat system, the hoses for that are t'd into the in-dash heater hoses at the front and the rear of the engine so the coolant can also circulate through the hot water heater.
My hot water heater is gone, so I removed the t's and the hoses that went back to it, and I just ran new hoses up and back to the in-dash heater. You don't need the hot water pre-heat hoses.
You also don't need the in dash heater system, except when it gets cold. But most owners just put a ball valve in one of the heater lines and shut it off during the summer.

No. Plumbed as you describe would put the water heater and the heater box is SERIES, you don't want to do that. What you want is to PARALLEL them That way each would work independently of the other. That's why the "T"'s are there.
Better motorheads than I can tell you if it's OK to run a hose between the two water ports but I'd choose to block them.

parrell, i think i understand, front motoroutlet goes to both and rear goes to both.
i went looking for hose today, 2 lowes and one homedepot and an ace hardware, none had 50 foot of hose, all were pround of it,
where is the best place to get this, and is the close to 2 dollars per foot normal?

Any auto parts store should have lots of heater hose. I think you need two sizes for the heater box, one for run to and from water heater.

This is what I have on our coach, it will last almost a lifetime
compared to the rubber hoses that are out there.

I haven't looked under the coach, but could you use some rigid copper tubing for the straight section of the hose run along the passenger's frame rail? I think that there are sizes of pipe available that would allow you to replace a fair amount of the hose. Obviously, there would be two more hose clamps and potential leak points, but it may be a possible alternative. Don't know if constant vibrations would work harden the copper, but if it is properly supported with padded clamps, that should not be much of an issue.
If it wasn't so hot, I'd actually go outside and check what things look like down there.

ordereed goodyear hy temp few minutes ago, budget would not go the nice blue hose, gut said stay away from the cheep low temp stuff.

I do not think I would do that. I was under someone's coach at a work rally and happened to look up at the rigid copper line used for the propane. It had a big dent in it almost smashing it flat. It also had several other dents from what I assume were flying rocks and gravel. If you are going to use copper I would cover it with something like heater hose for protection.

Interesting!
Maybe that's why Avion ran the copper propane line inside the coach on top
of the wheel well where it meets the side wall.
