Yesterday ended up to be one of my greatest days!
Over the past 6 or 8 eight months I have been co organizing Fly Bys at Canadian Superbike rounds featuring 451 squadrin Canadian Snowbirds and this weekend they are in Calgary for the Airdrie Airshow,
I had arranged for two famous Roadracers Steve Crvier and Brett McCormick along with Inside Motorcycle editor John Hopkins to fly with the Snowbirds, for an upcoming article featuring the day.
Well at the last minute Brett could not make it and I had to step in Rolling Eyes After a morning of medical tests and a 90 minute course on hot to use the ejection seat and parachutt we hit the sky.
Flew over Calgary in a 9 plane formation doing two fly bys over the Calgary Stampede with smoke out of all 9 planes, What a thrill I was in the middle plain and every direction you looked was a plain two feet away.
We then headed north of Calgary to clear airspace and did some acrobatics with roll overs and 6 g spins.
I truly landed a chance of a life time with the Iconic Canadian Snowbirds, Something I ill never forget and I am very proud to be one of a few Canadians to get the chance to fly wiht this famous Canadian flight team.
My Bucket list is looking real good these days.
Pics to follow.

Man, wouldn't that be fun! Of course at my size I'd have to ride in the precision jumbo jet squad...

What a thrill. As a former Calgarian and a pilot with 1000+ hours, mostly in
Calgary, I can appreciate the ride you had. Many of us would like to have
that opportunity.

I'm low time, and long ago.  But in my FANG days, in return for recruiting success, I got to spend the afternoon in the back seat of an RF-4C.  I'd give body parts to do it again!

Wipe that grin off your face! Oh, that's right, it is now a permanent
fixture. As John Denver used to say before he screwed himself into the
ground in a homebuilt airplane, "Farrrrrr Out, Man". The only thing better
than you having that experience is for me to take your place.<Grin> A bucket
