In the fall of 1984, KFRC's pride, the GMC Motorhome based mobile studio
'Mobile Sturgeon' was appropriated to sister station KHJ. They
eventually stole it back.(it was later the 'Magic 61' mobile studio
somewhat regular home of my good friend (not deceased), Carter B. Smith
(the Prince trapped the body of a disc jockey).

In the meantime, thinking this was the last broadcast, it had to be
scrapbooked.

The video is somewhat long, but well worth watching!

Terry:

Thanks for sharing. An amazing piece of radio and GMC history.

Those who did even a little bit in radio can appreciate it more than you know (hanging above my monitor on a boom is a RE-20)
