A scam posting is on the Chicago Craigslist "1973 GMC Sequoia - $4900 (Addison)"

The real ad was copied from a recent e-bay listing...along with a big price cut for good measure! I checked the VIN with the Registry. Both the former and current owners are Forum Members.

Seeing it was a scam I replied and this is a part of the fraudulent e-mail received from "nancyybrown@gmail.com"

I'm pleased you are still interested. Like i said before i'll explain the Confident Attic Sale concept,
their website is confidentatticsale.com . They are a chain of ebay drop off stores and they offer their services for craigslist users too.I left the motorhome in their possession when i left and intended to sell it when i got back (if you ask why i'm selling it now when i'm not around), but the wedding costs too much and i need to sell it now to help my daughter get married.. They will take care of shipping, payment and title transfer(it is already signed by me and notarized so they are empowered to do this ). So if you want to purchase the motorhome, all you have to do is to register on their website. ...as described. If you decide to keep it, you let them know and they will transfer the payment to me,...

Troy,

This is very interesting, if you all remember there was a Honda 6010 on
Craigslist in Phoenix posted here a few weeks ago new, in the box for $2500.

I did some homework and found out that was a great price for one of these
units.

I contacted the seller to ask where it was and was advised "it's near ASU in
Tempe." I posted an email to the GMCnet asking if anyone lived near Tempe,
AZ and Chris Choffat raised his hand noting he lived near by and volunteered
to go look at it.

I then emailed the seller advising I would like to have a friend look at the
unit and requested the exact address where it was located. To date I've got
NADA! Chris has called them several times and also NADA!

I can't believe that there people out there silly enough to send someone
$2500 without being 100% positive they will get the goods!

Rob M.
