For those installing the new One Ton front end kit (version II) created by
Manny Trovao and Bill Hubler, I've made a set of instructions.
When I did the install, there was almost no information available.
I'm no mechanic, so had to figure it all out from scratch and bother a
lot of people with questions. Then I had to bother even more people
to review the instructions. They're long and boring and probably good
for insomnia, but I sure wish I'd had them before I did the install.
Thanks to everyone who helped. I truly could not have done it without you.
These instructions are a work in progress which I'll edit as needed.
Though I make no guarantees of any kind about them, I hope they're useful.

Karen,
That is a nice piece of writing and great detail. I am sure it will be used to rebuild many front ends.
And thanks again for the seat bases.
P.S. If anyone needs the original seat bases (sloped and swivel ) from a '76 please let me know and I will share.

KB mine is on the way. I'm sure these excellent instructions will be invaluable when I install it. I was going to have to replace the rotors after using 'Yellow' pads on new rotors in less than 25K miles. This will make changing the rotors much easier next time.

Manny can do the install in a day. I think if I'd had good instructions and all the parts and tools
in hand, I could have done it in two or three days. If you want to clean and paint, that adds time.
The biggest problem was removing old rusty parts, especially brake line fittings.
Once you get your head around it, it's not that bad a job.
The way I did it though, having to figure it all out first and create instructions, took weeks.
thanks,

Karen,
An impressive body of work. And you are to congratulated for the mechanical project as well -- taking on something as large as a new front end can be daunting -- you did a great service for all of us.
Thank you,
Dennis
