This might be a good fixer-upper for a possible towd, you never know what is in these old barns. What year do you think it is?

It appears to be a model A ford 4 door sedan, 29 or 30 model. Not enough
detail to tell which.

Frank Condos wrote on Mon, 11 July 2011 17:09 | What we have is a 1930, either a Fordor Deluxe or Town Sedan with a Briggs body. The '30 has a radiator shell that is all stainless with the Ford blue oval in the upper portion. The '31 has a black painted inset in the upper part of the radiator shell. The Briggs body has rectangular door windows, the Murray body fordor would have a slight arch across the top of the windows.
The major difference between the Fordor Deluxe and the Town Sedan is interior trim.
How do I know? I have a '30 Town Sedan that I'm trying to get back on the road after a long rest (no rust)
Maybe more than you all wanted to know.

TOWD ID
It is definitively a 1930 [only] Model A Ford fordor, possibly a Murray
body. [distinctive nameplate is missing off lower cowl.]
Clues are fat fenders, polished chrome upper front radiator shell, ~4" SS
hubs caps, 19" wheels and lots of other clues.
Interior would reveal if it is a Murray body or Briggs.
Another major clue is missing, the two piece splash pans. [hence running
board hangers are visible]
All had four cylinder engines with updraft carbs.
All had solid tubular driveshaft, spark on column, gas tank in front behind
dash.
Repro parts are widely available.
Hit 90 degrees F here today, a rarity.
Too hot to work on GMC coach.

Rad looks like a model A Ford. Around 1928 -1931. Someone older than I
should know for sure.
