I may have watched too much bootleg BBC shows, but they call it "bird pulling."

So how good are GMCs at attracting the ladies?

That may be a difficult question to answer, since most of the people
who have one are already entangled and/or sworn off women for good. :)

If one were a bachelor, how good would a GMC (say, a nicely cleaned up
77 Palm Beach...) be at attracting ladies between the ages of 25 and
35?

I am catching flak from my buddies. "Dude, you're a middle aged
divorced white male highly educated driving around in a GIANT VAN. You
fit the profile!"

So how do I pull off less Creepy Van Guy and more Han Solo? Buy a
fuzzy travelling companion? Oh, wait, no, then I would be travelling
in a GIANT VAN with a *puppy*. Bad idea. :)

Anyone got any fish tales?

You had better save up and buy a Corvette or better yet, a Ferrari.

On the day after my 52nd wedding anniversary, I have no idea whether
it would help, but I'd be trying something like a new Corvette as a
toad. :-)

But, I thought that your objective was to attract the ladies. Sounds like you've already had the mid-life crisis.

What are you gonna do, park it outside the courthouse or jailhouse
with a sign, "You Call, I Bawl"?

I know of several GMC'ers that pull corvettes behind their coaches.

Well, I would not tow a corvette. But, a nice little two seater would be nice, after you paint the coach so it looks newer than it is. There are a few tricks to making it look much better. When a chick sees a nice two seater behind what looks like a new coach, they will come running. Leave your lawyer cards so they can be seen. Forget the mobile lawyer office. If you put advertizing on it I suspect it might draw a few more undesirable girls than you might figure.
I never had trouble getting girls when I drove my Mustang but all they wanted was to borrow it. teri won't let me put new paint on it now. Makes no sense.
Good Luck,
Dan

Not too many GMCs are "chick magnets". Same goes for most GMCers I've met
:>)
Take the advice of others here and get a new C6 Vette and tow it behind the
GMC.

Don't settle for a woman who doesn't love the GMC. They're out there.

Maybe you can find a way to lurk around a "Sisters on the Fly" gathering. They like vintage RV's.

Pulling the Birds, I havent heard that saying since I was a kid in England in the 70s/80s. Laughing

No reason why a GMC wouldnt make an excellent mobile batchelor pad as long as you are charming enough to get the ladies back there and it doesnt smell too bad insides.

No idea about the Corvette as a bird puller, I have a Lotus Esprit though which makes an excellent bait car........

Robin, from your e-mails, I expect you're going to need an independent,
thinking woman anyway. Just hang in there and see what happens. A cool
towd might help.

Robin,

Don't think the GMC is much of a "chick magnet" Don't think a
Corvette is either long term. Just be yourself.

Robin,

Mate, you're asking the wrong group! I reviewed the list of guys that
responded to this question. I have met almost all of them and they are guys
that have been MARRIED for donkey's years!

Having said that I reckon Emery hit the nail on the head! I think a Ferrari
would work better than the Corvette (sorry Steve).
