This is the first Internet connection I have managed to get so far.

If you recall, we tried to make this trip to the Maritimes 2 years ago, but only made it to Quebec City before a rod bearing stopped us.

The coach is running great this time, thanks to Dick Paterson's rebuild. Only issue seems to be excess knock counts, but I've retarded the advance back to about 31-32* and still get some. I'm wondering if the knock sensor is picking up something else. I don't hear the knocks myself. The counts are only under load so that makes sense. One of the oil cooler lines touches the shell of the KS electrical connector so maybe its vibrating against the KS?

We spent alot of time on the minor hyways which are covered in patches and full of ruts... also they wind back and forth, up and down alot... The one ton front end was the best upgrade I've done. With the narrow roads I'd never be able to stay in the lane with the old front end.

Michael B., We were planning on contacting you for maybe a quick stop by, but being self employed we got delayed 4 days so its pretty much a whirl-wind trip this time.

A 23' GMC pulled out in front of us in PEI. When they pulled into a gas station, we stopped to meet them. They are from Fredericton NB. They have a nice'73 but they don't go far in it. Not the internet types so they stick to themselves. Nice folks.

There is a large Newell rally going on here so we look like the poor kids on the block. I bet they never get off the beaten track to see the sights we get to see though!

Bye for now!

Nova Scotia is a very nice place. I went there in 2000 to see the Tall Ships.

Hello Bruce:

Welcome to Nova Scotia!!

I just wanted to say that if you are in the Lunenburg/Mahone Bay/Bridgewater area in your travels and are looking for a spot to overnight, we have a large driveway.

No facilities as yet (still looking for my GMC) but you are welcome to park overnight, etc.

Of course, you might have already found Rissers Prov. Park just a short drive down Hwy 331, right on the Atlantic!

Safe travels!

Doug

PS: Address is 26 Shore Drive - first left, south of Bridgewater off King St./Hwy 331. 902-530-6293

Doug,
Thanks for the offer... we did Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg today and gave the new one ton front end a workout coming up hyway 10. We are now in Digby with reservations for the ferry to Saint John in the morning.

Unfortunately we lost about 5 days with issues at the office. That takes a big bite out of 2 weeks.

Heading back now through New England and NY, or maybe go back north and take in Upper Canada Village.

At the Two Rivers Campground in Maine tonight... Very nice place, might stay another day, but then we will be doing Camp Walmart for the rest of the trip tp make it home by Sunday.

BTW, America can rest peacefully tonight as the US Border Guards confiscated my 2 limes... so no lime in my Corona tonight. Never asked about any weapons etc.... just fruits and veggies.

Let us keep the can of pea soup though.

Actually no we did not see the Bluenose this time around.
Its being renovated so its in a temporary building at the end of the harbour.
We could have gone to see it, but we thought we'd rather see it when its done. an excuse to come back.
