Still working on the dash air in the '77 Royale. I'm progressing toward installing Duracool, but first need to determine if the compressor is OK. If not, my mechanic says to don't bother with a remanufactured unit, new is the only way to go. The Napa reman unit ($159 w/o clutch) has a 24 month warranty; a new one from Discount AC Parts ($345 with clutch) only 1 year. Any bad experiences with the remanufactured? Thanks guys!

Hoping I won't need one anyway...
