That's a helluva support structure for your antennas!
Where did you do Field Day? I was an operator at W5MEL,
Lake Stanley Draper, OKC, 3A OK.

I still catch hell now and again over not pursuing amatuer radio. It's a postman's holiday. I got 3 10KW transistor radios. I got a 35KW class AB1 radio. I got two 35KW analog (class C) radios. I got a couple of 25KW radios. And I got a nice little five rack unit thing that runs up to a kilowatt at about any frequency I wanna set in it. Keeping these going, with -80dB crud off carrier more than 600KHz or so and into an antenna with a VSWR of 1.05:1 or so makes all the sparks I want. I rather mess with the GMC on my off days. And, no offense to those who get a kick out of it, a lot of innovation has come from the hobby. It just ain't me :):)

Dat wuz fore I wuz born. :d
I hated code til I passed my test then it was easy.
Ken, leave the boy alone on the wheels. I am impressed with what Tom is doing to that coach already. He will get the wheels, before long, to make it an official rolling ham station.

It looks as though Tom was participating with W4IY--Woodbridge Wireless. In
years past, they have run 9A from Virginia, and are pretty darn competitive.
I don't know what they ran this year.
I had to miss most of Field Day, but my GMC was definitely there. I provided
the 20-meter SSB station for K4LRG, but then had to go to southern Virginia
for a wedding. I got back just in time to help tear down. Here's my station
from last year--this year will look the same. We run 5A and we're pretty
competitive, too.
http://www.k4lrg.org/Field_Day/2010/Station_4/index.html (we actually had
about 75 more QSO's than are reported here--we had to reconstruct the log
after a computer network glitch. This year, the station logged nearly 1000
QSOs.
I don't know if Tom worked CW, but he is surely able to do so.
