And you're gonna tell me you never hang up and wonder "...let's see
now, where am I? Did I miss my turn...". THAT's why I try to always
pull over to talk, hands free or not. And why I'm so terrified of all
the women I see here with 'phones glued to their ears -- nearly 50%,
it seems.

If you think that is bad try driving a motorcycle around during the day and watch these women in minivans with their surgically attached phones. The don't see stop signs and sometimes other vehicles, especially motorcycles. This activity is predominantly during the day. I think their husbands probably won't let them phone and drive when they are home in the evenings.
I have to assume every minivan I see will not stop at the intersection. I have a good friend that lost part of a leg to a woman on a cell driving a mini van.

You can either drive or you cannot. A cell phone just takes the place of makeup application or other distraction which is enough to make a poor driver even worse. Before I got my jawbone device I could talk on the phone while driving constantly without danger. The danger arose when I had to look around for cops while driving at the same time (when it became a first offense in washington)

I call it cellitice ( sell I tis ). And it's like the plague in the Memphis
area. Next time you are stopped at a light in your GMC (content) watch all
the drivers with the darn things in their ears - must me stuck there with
crazy glue...
