While looking through a catalog for Porsche parts I came across Brad Penn oil. Any comments on this oil ?? My Porsche mechanic uses it in his 914 race car. Just curious.

It's basically the old Kendall GT oil. Probably one of the best oils for the old Porsche, and not a bad choice for any older flat-tappet engine.

L-N Engineering has a nice write-up on oils on their website you might enjoy reading.

If that's the 'inexpensive' Porsche parts catalogue, would you let me know
the name? <g>

The choice of many. I don't know of any hard core drag racers that don't
use this stuff.

Okay, I give up.

I've never heard of Brad Penn oil. However, somebody
said it may be the original Kendall oil. Does the
name stem from Bradford, Pennsylvania (otherwise
famed as the home of Zippo lighters and stuff).

I used Kendall and Wolf's Head oil in my 1950 Ford
convertible '57 - '60.

The Viking Drum and Bugle Corps I was in back in the
late 50s played a parade there every year.
