Sorry, I've been off line for a couple of days. But here are my thoughts. Please take this as suggestions/opinions, not hard and fast decisions.
Shipping, although a definite, is costly. It achieves the major goal of getting the coach to Missouri. But it burns all the donated money and my current funds that would go toward getting the coach up and running. So I lean toward the fix and roll solution.
There has been an offer of an exhaust. From my perspective, that is a big step. I'm sure there may be a few modifications necessary (as it came off a 23) but it shouldn't be as expensive as a whole new system.
So, I'm thinking, as soon as the exhaust can make it to NC, we set a work date. The first weekend should be dedicated to the exhaust and a real assessment of the fuel system and the brakes. Could possibly even solve the fuel issue that weekend as well. It would be wonderful if all problems could be fixed at that time, but I'm afraid that may be unrealistic, especially due to parts availability.
After the rolling problems are solved we need to revisit the travel plans. A definite route set with coordinated drivers. this would not need to be a straight through thing. If there is a lay over somewhere, I don't see that as a problem.
Please do not take this as being pushy or demanding. This is just how I see things right now. Please let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions on the matter.

Marsha,
Your idea is a good one. What this project needed was for someone to step
in and take control and I believe everyone here will support you as best
they can - even if it's simply a calming voice in the night. I am sure
those that have contributed and those that will are glad to hear from you.
Don't feel you're being pushy. Taking control is a better term - again,
exactly what this "Endeavor " (Good coach name) needed.
My circumstances have changed, but I am willing to support in any way I can
the travel leg from Nashville to Memphis - if that is on the route. Only
thing is that I am only available from Friday evening to Sunday evenings.
Once a definite route is planned I will review my geographical availability
Good luck in your "Endeavor" - is this a good time to temporarily change
this projects name?

OK, That weekend is good for us, at least we'll be in town. I can't commit much time to the project but we'll be around to reset the circuit breakers and provide directions to the emergency room.
We have a pool. It ain't much but it's clean and does a nice job of quenching the heat.
The roof air on Marsha's coach gets cool but the blower doesn't work. It may be mud dobbers on the fan. I'll have a look at it. I suppose it would be nice to have it working.
Likewise, the Revcon parked next to it can be used as a break room with good AC and a frig.
It would be nice if someone could bring about 200 feet of good extension cord. That's the distance to the outside outlet (Well) and my cords get kinda' warm when i run the Coasch air on them.
Please keep me posted on who's coming and when.

Marsha, Are we going to "graft" the front of the donated exhaust from the 23' to whatever is left to the exhaust on the 26'? Sounds like a plan, would feel better if we knew how much of the 26' exhaust was available after rust trimming. Exhaust donuts and (I believe) the spring bolts are in your coach.
I can bring extension cords. Space is limited as to what I can carry. Little Red Pick-up was rear-ended in Texas by an unlicensed, undocumented Hispanic "guest."

I think that would be the way to go with the exhaust.
I'm glad you or Marilyn weren't hurt in the accident, but sorry that your truck was destroyed. I had the same thing happen to me back in the first part of may. My car was totaled and I spend 2 days in the hospital. No insurance for him either, still don't even know who really owns the van. But that's another story.
