Hi All

Reverse (back-up) lights not working. Bulbs and fuse OK. 12v st the fuse box and 0v at the socket while in reverse gear.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start my troubleshooting?

Cheers and Thanks, Wayne

Replace or adjust the switch on the lower (inside of the coach) steering column.

Thanks Ken

Looked there. (thats the NSSS switch, right?) and I will keep investigating.

I did notice brown wire is cut for some reason. Could that be part of the problem?

Cheers, Wayne

The wiring diagram shows that the back up lights are a #16 light green wire on the neutral safety switch. The other side of the switch contact is fed by two wires on one terminal. One wire is a #16 dark green and the second is a #18 pink with a double black stripe. I would stick a meter on those two terminals looking for +12 when the key is on and the gear shift is in reverse. What you read there will tell you which way to go looking for the missing voltage.

Hi Ken

Got this fixed today. Thanks for your help. Here's how it turned out:

With someone behind the coach verifed that the backup lights actually came on between Park and Reverse. So losened the two bolts holding the NSSS switch in place. With an assiatnt, put shifer in Reverse and rotated the NSSS until the back-up lights came on. Tightened the whole thing up and all seems fine now. The problem could have been a lot more complicated, im sure. I feel quite lucky.

Cheers, Wayne
