For covering exactly as OEM, including the seat bases and backs, I measured
it at 25 yards without waste or pattern match. I would guess that it will
come out somewhere closer to 30 yards with matching and waste. I have seen
some wildly differing numbers on this... some saying as little as 12 yards.
I suspect that is just the cushions as were used in the 73-74 models, not
the flexsteel versions. I have never done upholstery. I could be way off
so I will document as I go for others to use.
I will be replacing the foam and documenting all that as well. Last night,
I made the exact foam measurements. After tearing it all down, I found
that the majority of the musty/old smell of the RV was actually the foam.
All the years of a closed up RV was absorbed into the foam. Plus the foam
itself puts off a bit of a smell as it ages as well. The foam will
probably be pretty costly... $70 just for the couch bottom for example.

I've only reupholstered at little. Just enough, in fact, to decided to have
someone do the Royale (two couches/bunks and dinette). New foam doubled the
price of the work. I supplied the fabric. New foam, however, makes a huge
difference. That it improves the smell is certainly a big plus.

Thanks very much for the information. You are no doubt absolutely right
about the smell from the foam. For never having done upholstery before, you
sure seem to know what your doing. Makes me think I might actually be able
to do it. Your step by step will definitely help

It take just over 5 yards per seat assembly.
