Just thought I'd let everyone know the outcome of my problem with my transmission not shifting.
Several weeks ago we left on the first trip of the season and right out of the driveway the transmission would not shift first. I won't rehash the previous thread again, but the normal easy stuff was not the cause.
This past week I made the 3 hour trip to Dick Paterson's transmission guy. The tranny made a couple extended shifts on the way up but shifted well otherwise. Thanks to a 50Km tail wind had great mileage too.
After a test trip he put it up on the hoist. He found the internal valve the modulator acts upon would periodically stick and repaired that. He also dropped the pan and checked all was well there.
He refilled it with fresh fluid and we went for another run. All was well so he sent me on my way, no charge, covered under his warranty.
The way back I was now fighting the 50-60Km headwind and had no problems with the transmission.
Thanks to Dick Paterson and his transmission guy Chris for all their help!
BTW, the new one ton front end really held the road while getting pushed around by the gusty winds there and back.

Bruce, glad you got the tranny lined out. I told you that wind has little effect on the coaches after installing the 1 ton. Glad you found the same. Enjoy it and keep us posted on the rear upgrade.
