what is the proper part number and where can good tie rod ends be obtained? After Bob had the mix up at Bean Station with his tie rod ends, i thought id ask. Mine could use freshening up.

G'day,

To those of you that weren't at Bean Station I checked Bob's steering using
the procedure on the Eastern States Website and found that with the coach
sitting over the pit, wheels straight ahead, I could feel motion between the
tie rod end sockets and the ball/taper when the steering wheel was moved
slightly off center left and right. Bob had brought some new tie rod ends
with him and he decided to replace them. He removed the old ones and when he
installed the new ones the taper wasn't correct. IIRC Bob told me that he
got the part number off the GMCMI Parts Interchange list. I can't remember
where he said he bought them. It may or may not be a part number problem.

I have a pair I bought from Jim K which I am SURE are correct that I will
photograph and post to the Photosite with measurements.

Regards,
Rob M.

Only reason we are sure about our parts as our mechanics pull from the
same inventory as the order desk.
There was a time one of our mecanics put in a used part in a new box
for warrenty and left it on the shelf and our new parts person shipped
it to a customer we know well.
My yellow skin sure turned red with embarrasment.
We use Moog parts, but have seen some mix ups.
