Confused Lost an original GMC hubcap on i-85 southbound somewhere between Anderson SC marker 27 and exit 115 in Georgia..

I know its gone forever, but just thought some eagle eyes might see it.. ITS MINE Laughing

BTW, the old girl did well on the trip to see Zeb for a little adjustment with the new airbag system except it was HOT HOT with no generator to run the roof Air. If anyone knows where to get a good deal on a good generator let me know.

New firestones installed last Friday were great.. on the way home, had her up to 100 by accident, trying to keep up with the Travis Tritt bus for my mom to get pics !!!! i try to stay under 70 just to be easy on it.

The early coaches have "speedo"s that go higher... to 120 mph, IIRC. (I'll have to double check the next time I am in my '73.)

The later coaches were built during the 55 mph time frame. Crying or Very Sad

This is the model genset I've got in my coach. It's a quiet running, efficient unit.

I lost a chrome trim ring off my old car last November. After about three months the snow went away I found it about 10 miles from home.
Keep an eye out for them GMC hubcaps. They are out there somewhere

Hey, why not just get the better looking ones from Jim Bounds. he sold me a chrome look plastic cover that simulates an alcoa, are relatively cheap, don't come off as easily and are silly simple to clean, compared to cleaning a real alcoa.... They really make the coach look good.
Might be worth the inquirey.

His web site says he no longer carries them. <http://www.gmccoop.com/hub_caps.htm> Maybe check with JimK.

You can find them on eBay. (for example: Item number: 320447855619 )

I have a set of these type hub caps. It is a cheap way to bighten up a coach with steel wheels. It REALLY makes a difference.

I just do not like anything covering the hubs. I like to check the tempatures when I stop.

When I first got my coach it had all of the original style hubcaps. One of my first trips was the Route 66 route. I crossed a bridge into St Louis and lost 4 on one bump. I went to Alcoas right after that! Withought wire ties or nylon straps the originals will not stay on.
