Went to a Family Reunion in Santa Barbara, ca, last week

Wed, drove , 2 1/2 hours to San Luis Obispo, ca, and stayed overnight at the
Elks club there ($20, with hookups, and free wifi), just excellent weather,
and we took the Tracker (Toad) to Pismo beach, and Avila beach. Had an
excellent dinner at the Crab Shack. Was great to walk in the ocean and
watch the dune riders.

Thr. decided to go a day early to Cachuma Lake, ca. to camp ( looking to get
a hookup spot). When we arrived at 12, they laughed at us saying there
were only 10 or so tent camping spots remaining , from the 300 or so camping
spots, - (Memorial day weekend), So we took two ($25 each), dry camping
spots, GMC loved the place (simple airbag action to get level). Cos, parked
his trailer in second slot, and Son and Daughter parked their tent trailers
as add-ins($10 per night) We had a wagon circle with 12 folks there. GMC
was a hit as a focal point for the kids and parents alike. Dumped the GMC
the first day and did not fill the water.

drove the Tracker the next three days to , Solvang (for tourist , min
horses, etc) and several trips to Santa Barbara, for the reunion. Kids had
a great time at Nature, center, and at the lake. Was cool morning and
evening, but sunny sky all day. Ran the Onan one day to bring up the
batteries.

Mon Turned on the Propane, Solair heater in the GMC Monday morning, so all
could get warm and have breakfast while they packed up to go. After all the
family had gone, dumped the GMC and took off for King City, to camp on the
way home. Was ok to dump, cause we had one more day of travel to stir the
black tank on the way home.

Drove to SLO , bought another $100 of gas, (found a Chevron so I could by
premium gas at the max price ($4.37/gal ), and kicked the wife out of the
house (GMC) to drive the toad up Questa Grade, ( it is good to get the wife
out of the house some times ;>)

Stopped at Paso Robles, rest stop for lunch and to hook up the Tracker, and
then on to King City.

King City, for the night ($35 with electricity). this is a very nice
campground, took showers, walked, dinner at Denny's. Life was good.
The Alpa USB connection found a free wifi location so I was able to fill my
addiction after 6 days without internet.

Tue drove to Livermore, got in at noon, dumped the GMC, cleaned it out, and
started mods ---- life is good.

The GMC was flawless, drank a couple of quarts of oil, I made a 2 page list
of things to fix / change when I get home ( like to fix on return, not, when
leaving;>).

Put some pictures on Facebook.

Just a great trip in the GMC, as they should be.

You didn't specify which coach you took on your trip. Was it the 26' or
the 23'??

We love to stop at the Madonna Inn in SLO just because.

Everyone has to see the urinal in the mens room - it's a waterfall, and once as I was zipping up I heard a man say - "Hon - you've got to see this!" Well, I zipped up fast.

It sounds like another excellent - trouble free - GMC trip. We've already had our share - and hope to have many more!
