Thanks to all that have responded, I have I think done most of the obvious
as mentioned, new batt. , new connectors and cleaned grounds and connections
apparently I am missing one or more I will keep looking. The PO had two
theft prevention items installed (by himself apparently) he had everything
connected so that the headlights would flash, horn would sound, sirens would
go off and kill the ignition system. There was a remote control for arming
and disarming the systems t that did not come with the GMC , removal of all
the extra wiring and finding where he cut existing wires has led to many
sleepless nights.

Thanks again, I now have the measurements for the 26' for the senders, when
I do this, I will locate tanks and set my router just a fraction of an inch
less than the thickness of the flooring and finish by tapping the rest out.
Being 6'2", 280 lbs and disabled, makes it tough to get under my GMC, it's
hard enough to get on the floor, of course that does not even compare to
getting back up again. :)

I have spent almost 3 years either bed ridden or in a wheel chair and was
told I would probably never live or if I did I would never walk again, the
GMC keeps me moving and active, if I did not have this to work on I would
probably be sitting around doing nothing, not something I can afford for my
body to do although sometimes it gets tempting.

Thanks again
