I need to pick up a Dometic refrigerator I bought about 150 miles away. Is it OK to transport it on it's side instead of upright? I would like to haul it inside my station wagon but could haul it upright in a trailer if it might damage it to be on it's side.

I have seen recommendations to lay them on their side to resurrect a dead one, but that did not work on the one I have now.
