just got home from a trip
picked up my GMC that was stored in okeechobee, Jeff Sirum looked over and fixed a few things, declared me mentally incompetent to drive it, but made it with no mishaps or further action total distance 970 miles
My wife and daughter were following me in a 2500 HD 4X4 chevy silverado and got me thinkin g......if I had a flatbed trailer I could have put the GMC on the trailer and pulled it with the chevy.....might have gotten about 14 mpg....that is what I got with the 31foot fifth wheel SOB I pulled down to okeechobee. But the rental fee for a flatbed was much greater than the fuel cost to drive the GMC....got 8mpg and at todays prices figures out to about 50 cents per mile.
still a bargain when you figure all the things that can happen when you travel some other way
