First, I will bore you with this: After 3 months, Foremost- which is related to Farmers Insurance did not/would not insure me for agreed value. This was after sending in my appraisal and three pictures, my agent taking more pictures and then my agent taking more pictures of the right side because it was too close to the wall in my shed. I wheeled it out and washed it for that set. (Meanwhile I had cancelled my AAA insurance because I was assured that I was covered. Luckily I was not driving because my engine was ailing.)

Second, if you just want to drive, as I did when it came time to go have the new engine installed, you can call GEICO and get collision in about 20 minutes. $48 for 6 months.

Third: I didn't want collision, I wanted agreed value. I received a quote offer from Progressive in the mail. I called. They no longer do agreed value. I am in California.

_BUT_ they gave me a number for Hi Sage, near San Diego. In 20 minutes I had agreed value, with proof of insurance from Progressive. I guess Hi Sage is a partner and claims will be through Progressive. So, I go to the Progressive Internet page and look at my insurance.

Is this good? I am not saying. But, I have agreed value insurance based on my appraisal. I feel better.

If interested in the number or other details feel free to ask gbeckman at pggp.com I am not affiliated with Hi Sage or Progressive... just telling you what happened.

I thought someone else might jump-in on this one.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I'm not aware of your particular circumstances (i.e. whether your GMC is currently registered, drive-able, on-the-road or ???)

Your reference to "not wanting collision" concerns me and the fact that you don't mention a specific number for the agreed value, leads me to believe one of us is mixed up on what you got versus what you THINK you got.

Typically Agreed Value referes to a an agreement between you and the insurer (BEFORE any loss) as to the total value of your coach. (i.e. the Agreed Value is $35,000) It removes depreciation (which is often applied against Actual Cash Value)from the equation should you incur a substantial loss. It is more-than-possible to have a major "collision" or "other" (i.e. fire or theft) loss ("Comprehensive") , so, the coverages are usually sold together.

I know Agreed Value has been "beat to death" on this forum but, I'd hate to think I had it when I didn't (or had some limited coverage that doesn't cover what you thought it did) Too late after the loss - Which is usually the time when the agent who sold you the policy gets forgetful.

Please give us a little more info.

I read his not wanting collision to mean he did not want ONLY that because it was only partial coverage. I would like to know what the value was too.
