As we were touristing through The Arches National Park outside of
Moab, UT. a couple of days ago, we passed a 26' GMC in one of the
parking areas. We met up with Ralph and Jackie Call from Yakima, WA
(about 40 mins from where we live for crying out loud). They've owned
their X-Palm Beach for 22 years and just recently moved it from
Detroit to Yakima. It is now a really nice custom unit with a
beautiful paint job (he did it) and a classy updated interior (he did
it). He just had the engine redone at Cinnabar before he moved it out
here. Here is their number...TZE063100773. They had never heard of
either the GMCNET, Forum, or the Registry so this may be a new number.
We've been traveling for 2 weeks and this was the first GMC we've seen
(other than out own).

I've hit a little snag I want to correct before I put my 23' in the Registry.  It's titled in Florida, where they go look at something coming in the State and title it based on an eyeball VIN.  And the gerbil who looks saw the Nolin Homes sticker by the driver's seat and titled the thing with the Nolin VIN, never looked under the hood.  So - I got a GMC patent plate with the proper TZE336xxx and I got a title fopr MOS somethingorother. The bill of sale he gave me reflects the title number.  I hafta ask the lady at the tag orifice how I go about getting the correct number on the Georgia title.  And I need it correct, the insurance company binds by VIN, and if it doesn't match the title, there can be problems.
In the final analysis, I >may< just copy the info on the Nolin sticker and then scrape it off, and title the thing as an older than '86 where Georgia requires no pereviouis title.  I'm gonna get it listed as TZE336 somehow!

Gene,

Nice thought. Gary pinged me offline.

There are owners out there that don't even know what FMCA is. But, I'll give
it a shot and see what happens. The worst they can say is "we have no plans
for such at this time."

You gotta read stuff here everyday so you don't miss anything worthwhile.

Gary did a lot of work getting it together. Do you know how many links are
in there? They all work, too, thanks to his clicking finger.

Nope, not asking you at all. At the beginning of the bastardized
thread I was asking if a TZE number for a coach that I saw at Arches
National Park was in the GMC Motorhome Registry, not in some kind of
GA registry. Was hoping Dave Greenberg or his new replacement could
look it up and find out.

too was waiting for the new GMC Registry Guru to reply but I suspect he is
busy on other Registry tasks. Yes TZE063V100773 is a new adder to the data
base so congrats to Gary & Company who are ardent TZE Hunters. As the
venerable Bill Bryant pointed out (with a sly little graphic smirk) it is
probably not a Palm Beach but since it sits; TZE wise; in the middle of a
gaggle of Sequoias, I would guess it be one.

As for Mr Bridges, send your TZE to me and I'll look it up. Also, go to
http://GMCmhRegistry.com and list it on the Registry page.

OK, after anhour with my friend at the county tag orifice, here's where we ended up.  The coach is insured and will be Ga titled and tagged tomorrow using the Norris Homes I.D. number which appears on the Florida title.  Now I can take it on the road.
Next I'll apply to the State to correct the erroneius title they issued for it, and have it nodified to TZE336xxxxxxx.  This will take several months and a lot of back - and - forth,.

O.K.  The patent plate thinks it is TZE336V100820.  Being as GM built it and affixed the plate, that's probably correct.
Comes Nolin Homes Inc, the upfitter, and puts a sticker on the panel beside the driver's seat -  new FexiSteel yet - which declares it M1T0032GN000098.
The State of Florida, via their Inspection Gerbil, found the Nolin sticker first, so that's how they titled it.
Lemme know what its history is, I'm interested.

Thwe Tag Lady and I are ol' buds.  I sometimes rebuild old Mopars, and often they've no title.  Now, older than about 1986, in Georgia alls I need is abill odf sale to tag and insure a car.  I can have any law officer inspect it, verify the V>I.N. anmd fill out a form (called a T-22) and with that form, The Tag Lady will issue a valid Georgia tag.  All it takes is time and patience.  In this case, I have a show to make in a couple weeks, so it gets the screwball FL title and numbers, and I'll change them later.
