Anyone want a non-working, original 12v/120v swing motor frige? Located in sunny, dry, Las Cruces NM. Out of a 77 Kingsley.

Perhaps - depends on what is wrong. Electric system before the compressor can be repaired or worked around. I have one with bad DC electronics that I plan to drive with an 12VDC to 120VAC inverter.

Most problems are related to things in the power supply or thermostat, and are fairly simple to modernize with just a 120 to 24 volt 4 to 5 amp transformer and more modern 12 to 120 volt inverter. (the compressor is a 24 volt 60 hz unit)

If the refrigeration side (compressor and refrigerant) has gone, little chance of making it good again. The swing motor compressors are not available any place I have looked, and I have done a fairly extensive web search for them.

Compressor failure is generally caused by either over voltage from a badly out of adjustment generator set (onan) or off frequency from the same generator. Neither is tolerated well by the Swing Motor compressor.

Hal: If no one else wants it, please contact me. I might have a home for it in NM at a friends off grid ranch, if it is only an electrical issue.
