My local mechanic thinks that I spun the main bearing. I was just driving along at 65 mph when I suddenly lost oil pressure and the engine started clattering. Not real loud but enough to get my attention. I pulled over and the engine seized up. Once it cooled down it will slowly turn over, kinda like the batteries are low. I still love my GMC!
Here is my question. I am going to need a new or rebuilt engine. What do I want? I am assuming another 455 but are there other things that I should consider while I am going through the process?
