Thanks Dennis. Sounds like I won't be able to improve the clearance any
because the problem isn't the down pipe, it's the fitting on the tank itself
combined with the shallowness of the tank. Oh well. Guess we'll just have
to use a lot more water and live with it.

Thanks very much for checking this. Saved me a lot of unpleasant effort.
