Which reminds me of a similar question I've been meaning to ask...

On both our coaches, there's a vertical tube that runs from where the toilet
mounts, down into the black tank almost to the bottom of the tank. What is it for?
To prevent sloshing?? Seems like what it mostly does is cause "stuff" to hang
up in the tube and not drain out properly. Also makes it really hard to clean
the tank or see how full it really is. Since it's on both our coaches, I have
to assume it's a common feature. Anybody tried modifying it?

thanks,
Karen
