I'm fairly new to the motorhome lifestyle and so are my folks who recently bought a 40' SOB. They have described a couple of incidences where they felt vulnerable in their RV and have considered purchasing a handgun. Our family isn't necessarily anti-gun, but none of us have owned guns. I'm feeling pretty conflicted about the whole thing as I have grade-school and teenagers that could be at risk if there were a gun around. On the other hand, if Rv'ers are potential targets, I want at least a deterent.

My gut feeling is I don't want one, but don't want to be nieve to the risk either.
