It looks ugly up by Bean Station. I'm planning to head out tomorrow a.m., and the weather is supposed to be great after tonight, but I'm wondering if the campground is going to be under water when we get there. For anyone in the path of these storms, stay safe. It's been ugly in the Birmingham area, and we've been fairly lightly hit so far.

I have a commitment at work that will delay my departure for Bean
Station until 2 PM. Hoping the weather has cleared by then.

If that campground is under water you will have more problems than you think. You will need a arc to get there long before that place goes under water.

I will be slippery trying to get up on the hill. Don't ask me why I know. As
a result, I had to get a new black tank and plumbing. I wasn't driving,
either.
JimK's limited slip differential would be a nice upgrade for wet grass and a
heavy load.

I'm watching a thunderstorm that on radar that just crossed Bean Station between 5:30 and %:50 PM Central Time.

If the campground gets under water the rest of the state will have to worry. Bean Station is on a hill well above the lake level.

We've had strong thunderstorms and rain all evening, with one brief hail
fall, but the hillside's still a couple of hundred feet above the lake. :-)
The heaviest weather, including tornadoes, seems to be passing through and
south of Knoxville. There are still cells west of there which may reach
here later, but they shouldn't contain any tornadoes, our only real concern.
Tomorrow should be beautiful and the grass will probably be pretty dry by
the time anyone arrives, presumably after noon.

It is 9:30 PM Central time and I have been sitting here watching the radar around Bean Station. I guess it is good that I am a couple of days late getting there. The storms keep rolling through there.
