I'm working on the onan and noticed the spark plug wires just barely
grip the spark plugs and are crufty and original. I looked in the parts
interchange, but couldn't find any replacement numbers.

Any suggestions on what wires to use? It's the original 6kw version.
Are these just generic wires cut to fit, or??

thanks,
Karen

I used a generic 4 cylinder set of Accel performance cut to fit ones I found on sale somewhere. I can share them with my friend Tim. I think I've had them on 2 years, and they seem to work fine.

I used a coil wire that had the correct boot on both ends from o reilly auto parts. I simply cut it in half and used one half for each spark plug. I reused the plastic screw on cap for the coil.

Just got a generic coil wire like Mark did, and cut it to fit. Worked fine, less RF noise near the Gen too thanks to the suppressing nature of the wire...

Recommend the generic. Onan wants real money for the two wires.
Tom Phipps, and not an Onan in sight.
