I have not been active on this list for the last few years but have been lurking from time to time.

I have a 78 Royale that I was in the process of refurbishing, but have not worked on it in the last couple of years (many other projects have taken priority). Since I have been paying for storage on the unit for several years I want to sell it to someone who wants to complete the project.

The coach has a factory port fuel injected 500ci Cadillac engine (easy to upgrade to modern fuel injection or I have parts to return to carbureted engine) with less than 5,000 miles since it was rebuilt. Transmission was also rebuilt at the same time. Until recently (last 6 months) the engine was started about every two months and driven around the storage lot. Presently one of the fuel pumps is not working and I will replace it and have engine running prior to sale.

The coach is located in the San Diego area but is registered in North Dakota. (Unable to smog in California due to non original engine)

I have a power point presentation I can email to anyone who is interested. The power point presentation includes much more information about the coach.

I probably have over $15,000 invested but know things are not worth what they were a few years ago.

I am asking somewhere around $3,000 but am open to all reasonable offers.

If interested send me an email and I will send the power point presentation. I would put the pictures on the GMC photo site but it would take me too long to transfer all the information from power point.

Looks like a good coach for a rebuild, has all the stuff and parts.
Did notice that the shower was not original, as the rear bath Royal
had a tub/shower setup. Appears to be a nice modification.

No sink back there that I can see. Good idea, however.

What happened that all the cabinets in the front look severely weathered?
They will take some sanding, restaining and elbow grease, however, and come
out looking nice. Two roof air units.

Potential. Should not become a donor.

There have been a couple comments regarding the lack of a sink in the bathroom.
When I was remodeling, I felt that a full size dry shower that you could stand
up and turn around in was a high priority. I had planned to install a pullman
(folds in wall) sink or install one above the toilet (either tilting or sliding)
or install in the corner of the shower on some kind of swivel.

This is the great thing about redoing the GMC. It can be a little different
which gives it it's own personality. This is probably one of very few with a
full size shower. The reason there is a window in the shower is to have full
access to the potable water tank if necessary. The plan was to install a
removable frame (can be seen in picture of shower) covered by a waterproof material (such as shower curtain) to
cover the opening.

The kitchen cabinets and the back of the dinette are just dirty. The PO and two
kids lived in the motorhome for several months and were not very clean. The
dinette needs to be reupholstered and the cabinets clean up very well with a
good sanding. Note one drawer has been sanded. All the wood is Walnut if I
remember correctly.

I am out of town but will return to the San Diego area (National City) later
this week. I hope to have it running again by next weekend.
