Trying to plan this summers trips using Google etc and I find that most sites are really just advertising.

Is there a good travel site (or mapping site) that shows best routes (scenery) things to see and do along the way (museums, points of interest) that aren't just full of ads for resturants and hotels?

Right now we are looking at Canadian Maritimes and New England States on the way back. Yup, going to try to do the trip we started out on 2 years ago, but lost the engine on the second day.
