We are on our way to Stone Mountain Ga with our newly acquired Expedition towing our vintage Boles Aero.
The trailer is fairly light, the truck was doing fine when we began to hear an exhaust noise under a load.
It sounds like a manifold leak but it seems to be coming from directly behind the engine.
There is a crossover tube of some sort coming off the manifold.
I put my hand all around the engine and revved it. I could hear the noise but I could not feel the source.
So it's 5:am in Fayetteville, NC The ford dealership won't open for a while.
Any input would be very much appreciated.
Any Ford truck experts out there?
The noise is minor, i could live with it and knock out more miles but I'm affraid of what other harm might come.

My first recommendation is to take it to a local exhaust place rather than the Ford dealership. With most exhaust leaks you can still drive the vehicle, but I sure would like to know what exactly is leaking before driving it too far under the additional a load of towing something.

thanks for the effort (and the snark)
Life is good. It was combination of small things, blown vac hose, blown coil and enough other stuff to round out $575
It's all good, we got a good deal on the truck and expected some issues.
