Most of the snow is gone so I went out to the coach to see if it would start. Hooked things up and turned the key on to let the fuel pump run. It started after about 5 revolutions and settled down to a decent idle. The air suspension took a long time to pump up. Briefly thought of moving the coach but the fifth season of the year is here - MUD season. Looks lke our first outing will be Lisa's college reunion in late May. They have set aside RV parking and we can use showers in the dorms.
Lisa is doing better and finally is free of her pins and cast. She has a few pics of the big day up on FLICKR

Snow and a bad winter? Then how is it that we had a couple from New
Hampshire at GMCMI convention in Louisiana?
BTW, this couple bought their 1977 Kingsley new and have owned it since
then. This was their first GMC rally. How do people like that fly so far
below the radar? They were happy to be among a bunch of groupies (or is the
current term "fanboy"?).

I am planning on getting mine out for the first time on Thursday for a run to Saint Ignace for the weekend. But now they are calling for 6 inches of wet heavy snow and wind on Wednesday. That probably means salt. Snow and salt, four letter words. Winter hangs on a long time up here. But when the weather is nice, it is a great place to be, if you are not looking for work.
This is my opportunity to remind ya'll that I have room for two or three coaches and a pit in my garage if you are traveling through this year. I'm on the Black list.
There is a new paved road (H58) open this year that follows the shore of Lake Superior along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (part of the National Park system)for about 50 miles. It runs from Munising to Grand Marais. There are campgrounds on both ends and a couple along the way on the shore. It should be on your list if you are coming this way. See you down the road.

Ahhh yes, the UP. Was stationed at KI Sawyer for 5 years in the mid 70's and have been back a few times. Used to drive Rte 2 along the lake a number of times. Beautiful country even if we went to July 4th fireworks in a blizzard. We are seriously thinking about getting up to the Island this summer and maybe the Copper Country. If so, we will give you a shout.
