I recently replaced a bad booster switch with a continous duty solenoid. After I reconnected the wiring, the engine was able to start right up, but only after I switched to "Boost". A little later I tried to restart it, but there was no power in the cockpit, either with the switch on "Boost or "Normal". There was no power to the house wiring unless the shore power was hooked up. Both the house & the engine batteries checked more than 12 volts. There was good continuity between both the batteries and the engine. (The house battery is grounded to the frame & the engine battery, to the engine block.)
Can anyone advise me where to check next?

No expert but it sounds like you wired the starting battery cable to the house side of the solenoid.
not to sure about the electrical systems in my unit yet but from just glancing at the schematic that may be your trouble

please let me know what you find.
if the engine battery is connected:
+ to the starter
_ to the starter
The starter should always run without the boost switch
you might have to run a ground from the engine to the frame.( the engine is
the mother of all grounds)
