I am beginning to think I should expect things like this to happen when working on the GMC!

I have been preparing for my first rally and trying to get everything working beforehand so I don't have to bother anyone with simple questions. It has been going fairly well. I have discovered that my stabilizer bar was an aftermarket system from Caspro. The bar is 1-3/8ths in diameter and wasn't anything that JimK stocked in Ca, and suspension.com didn't even realize they carried one that size. All is good though, I contacted Caspro and for $63 (including shipping) they are shipping all the bushings including the drop bar assembly at either end. I hope to have them on before I leave.

I fixed my generator. There was a broken wire underneath and after reconnecting, the generator fired right up. Great! So I get the water working, from the hose and from the tank. I am still looking for the right connector to fill the tank with.

All in all things were looking great! I then realized that I hadn't tried powering the coach from the shoreline power. Simple I thought, I got out my extension cord, plugged it into the 30a adapter that I found inside the coach, threw the breaker and...nothing. No power. I came inside and discovered the breaker serving the outlet I was using had been tripped. Grrrr, now I have a short somewhere in the coach that I have to find before heading to Bean Station!

It is always going to be something isn't it?

Bob,

From what I've seen, a Royale should have, at the left rear, a female hose
connection, with an internal check valve, recessed in a shallow cup. Those
are readily available from 'most any RV parts source.

There may also be a gravity feed, perhaps resembling a gas cap, or perhaps
just a flip-lid cup, at the upper rear of the right rear compartment.

As for the power problem: All Coachmen-fitted coaches that I've seen came
equipped with a pair of 30A input circuit breakers interconnected with a
metal rocker. When either of the breakers is closed, the other is
automatically tripped by the rocker. One breaker is for the shore power,
the other for the generator. Is that your set up? Or is it another breaker
you're having trouble with? Before doing anything else, I'd advise you (and
every other new owner) to disconnect the shore power, shut down the
generator, and disconnect any installed inverter. Then pull the CB box
cover and check the security of every connection inside. Disconnecting
every one of them, applying a joint compound like OxyGard, and retightening
would be a good idea. The connections WILL loosen and corrode over 30+
years, causing overheating and creating evasive problems.
