Been checking the right front wheel all day, straight as an arrow. I had it in gravel last night and shoved the thing forward with the toad, trying to hook up by myself. I guess I had it squirreled into the gravel and made it look like the thing was leaning in at the top. That is a relief.
I did stop the oil leak. Tightened the oil cooler adapter bolts and the nut. No more oil anywhere.
525 miles today and we have arrived. Yall hurry. The weather is great.

Dan, the next thing that you will trying to get us all to believe is that
you thought that you had made a mistake, but upon further investigation, it
turned out not to be one. I don't know you so can't vouch for your character
but we both spent a lot of our adult lives working with convicted felons &
most of the time are capable of telling when someone is being truthful with
us. <GRIN>

I know a little bit about alignment. I maintain the machines that have performed over 2 million alignments. You can see with you eyes to much or to little camber. But its tricky. Really need a very flat level surface. Also,,,, check that tire pressure. I watched an engineer filling in for the regular alighnment cordinator order a rearend swap due to inproper camber which is very rare(in solid rear axles). But,,,the camber didn't change. Swaped out the rear tires and the camber changed. Low air pressure. Always check your car before you take it to have it done. If you look at cars and trucks rolling down the hiway you'll see some with too much camber. One of those digital levels can indicate camber. And the ground doesn't need to be level.,,,,,PL

WD0AFQ wrote on Wed, 06 April 2011 19:06 | You and me both Gary. I had the bags down to 40 pounds also trying to level the thing. I am sure that caused part of what I saw. We rolled 525 miles today with no problems.
You will like the new frontend. The first trip I hit the curb with front right tire. Sure sticks out farther than the Olds frontend.

We had an interesting challenge at work and the car guys were able to spot camber and toe within workable specs just by looking at the vehicle with no equipment.

Does that mean it's all your fault ???
Dan who often gets it wrong !!

Don't tell Teri. I was not supposed to do this til she and Billie got home. But, I had the coach and car clean and wanted them hooked together. So, I backed the coach in, on a lot of loose chat. Then I pulled it up and backed it again, placing it in park and putting the line lock on. Pulled the Vibe up and started hooking the tow bar to it. Had to rock the Vibe and when I did I shoved the entire coach forward. That may have had something to do with how it looked to me.
So, did not mean to scare Gary so much.
Life is good in Patterson,

Gary, the disc upgrade is un believable. Now, I do have the reaction arm too but I am telling you, my toad brake will be on the table for sale.
My frontend was as good as one could get so putting the new one did not improve my driving. But, I feel no wind from the passing trucks shoving me around now with wider front. This frontend should take me another 20 years. Love buying bearings and hub at local auto part store and fixing it on side of road if I need to.
