Hi folks.

With a heavy heart, I've put our beloved GMC up for sale. We would keep it forever if we could but are heading back to England where the roads are smaller and gas is $8 a gallon.

Its on Craigslist at http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/rvs/2306353258.html

I'll be advertising it in a few other places too, but if you know of anyone looking for a good one, please let them know.

I will also be selling an unwanted Ragusa black-anodised screen door. Its brand new, never fitted, and still in the box that Ragusa shipped it in. Ragusa sells them for $439 + shipping. Its yours for $300 + shipping if you want one.

Cheers everybody

Thats a nice looking motorhome , I was attracted to that colour scheme and was thinking about that Kingsley model before I decided to buy the Explorer.

I did see a GMC motorhome in the UK when I lived there in the period I resided in the country, it was owned by John Haynes (of workshop manual fame), I dont think he has it anymores though as I didnt see it at his museum when I visited it a month ago.

Sad to hear you wont be taking your Harvey back to the UK, Im sure you could find somebody there to buy it If you shipped it back home, as American motorhomes are very popular with the Motor Racing/Historic racing crowd in the UK and yours would certainally stand out.

Wayne,

I'm going to agree with Rick.

I just checked and Rick was being conservative when he stated petrol was
$8.00 a gallon; I just did some research and it's actually $8.33 per gallon.

If you multiply that by 50 the cost to fill the tanks in the GMC is $416.00!

I have watched a number of GMC's listed for sale in the UK on eBay, and IIRC
NONE of them sold!

The good news is that if you were to get 11 mpg you could damn near traverse
the UK south to north!

Thanks for your kind words Jim - we had a great time last year and we'll miss you Tidewater Crabs. Wayne, I wish we could take Harv back with us, but I think this is where he belongs - on the open roads and through the big landscapes. And to the other folks interested in the screen door - it has gone I'm afraid.

But GMC is still for sale (at a new ad site - the old one vanished for some reason)

Cheers

Richard, Bob and I met you and your family with the Tidewater Crabs last
May. It was our pleasure to spend a little time with you and your family.
Continued blessings whereever you go.
