I got it home(sort of). It's not in it's parking spot, but I'll put it there when it cools off. I'm not sure, but I think I found a symptom that's pointing me in a different direction.When it quit this time, I popped the hatch & removed the air cleaner. I realized that there was a lot of gas vapor coming out of the vent & the carb was too hot to touch. I believe that the thermo valve on the driver side manifold may be stuck closed or partially closed & the crossover in the intake has never been blocked off. I don't believe the carb ever needs to be that hot.I'll probably take the thermo valve off the manifold & cut the valve out that is stuck. It isn't needed, anyway. Then, I'll have to find someone to pull the intake for me since I'm in no shape to do it myself. I also plan to install the insulator gasket then. Not a good situation, but at least it's back home now. I'll also find a carb rebuilder if there's any left alive anymore.
Looks like another summer without the coach, since I have way more time than money & money is what it's gonna take right now. I did install an electric fuel pump, but it's pushing thru the mechanical pump right now. I plan on either replacing the mechanical pump or removing it & running off the electric.
Just goes to show that I'm gonna need to spend closer to the $15k before it's dependable. Eventually it seems inevitable that I'll have to drop the tanks sooner rather than later.
